This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was originally purchased from The Rodenfels Chevrolet Co. of Columbus, Ohio, and remained in the state with the first owner’s family until 2008. A subsequent refurbishment was completed under prior ownership in 2010 and included a repaint in black as well as an interior re-trim in black. Following the refurbishment, the car was awarded a Bloomington Gold certification in June 2010. Power is provided by a 327ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 15″ turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and a Delco AM/FM radio. This C2 Corvette convertible was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is now offered with its Protect-O-Plate, an owner’s manual, additional manufacturer’s literature, original dealer financing documents, historical ownership documents, Al Grenning CCAS certificates for the engine pad, Protect-O-Plate, and trim tag, and a clean Wisconsin title.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Tuxedo Black (900) with a black top, and it was repainted as part of the refurbishment completed in 2010. Features include a black convertible soft top, a domed hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance.

The turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/75 Goodyear Invicta tires. The C2 Corvette utilizes fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.

The cabin was re-trimmed during the aforementioned refurbishment and features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, a Delco push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.

The 327ci V8 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.

The engine stamping is pictured above. The HO suffix corresponds with a 300-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with an automatic transmission. Photos of engine and component casting numbers, date codes, and stamps are provided in the gallery along with an engine pad certificate from Al Grenning’s Classic Car Affirmation Service.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.

Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:

  • Style 467 – 1967 Corvette convertible
  • Body A-2255 – A.O. Smith body number
  • Trim STD – Black vinyl upholstery
  • Paint 900 – Tuxedo Black

Documentation from Al Grenning’s Classic Car Affirmation Service pertaining to the engine pad, Protect-O-Plate, and trim tag will accompany the car along with a Bloomington Gold certificate from 2010.

An invoice from Rodenfels Chevrolet Co. dated April 5, 1967 displays original pricing and will accompany the car.
