This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 convertible is a Canadian-market example that was refurbished prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2018. Power is provided by a 400ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and a mechanical refresh carried out in 2020 totaling over $25k consisted of overhauling the air conditioning and audio system, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the thermostat, valley pan gasket, throttle cable bushing, power steering pump, front suspension bushings, POA suction valve, decals, and fluids. The car is finished in blue with white hood stripes and a power-operated white convertible top, and it is equipped with trumpet-style exhaust finishers, Super Stock II 14″ wheels, power steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The cabin is outfitted with white vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, power windows, a center console, a tilting steering column, a Hurst shifter, and an AM/FM stereo.  This 442 convertible is offered with GM Canada documents, recent service records.

The car left the factory finished in Trophy Blue with Cameo White hood stripes, and it is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Details include a power-operated white convertible top, chrome bumpers and wheel-arch moldings, dual side mirrors, quadruple headlights, a retractable antenna, 442 badging, and dual exhaust outlets with trumpet-style finishers. Video of the soft top in operation is provided in the gallery.

Super Stock II 14″ wheels wear Oldsmobile center caps and are mounted with Firestone Wide Oval white-letter tires, and a full-size spare is stowed in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. In 2020, the power steering pump, reservoir, and front suspension bushings were replaced.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in white vinyl and complemented by matching door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, woodgrain trim, power windows, and a push-button AM/FM stereo. In 2020, the air conditioning system was overhauled and a kick panel was replaced. The stereo system was also refreshed with a rebuilt head unit, rear speaker, and grille.

The three-spoke steering wheel is attached to a tilting column and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 3,800 miles, and the total mileage is unknown.

The Rocket 400ci V8 breathes through a four-barrel carburetor and features an orange-painted block, intake manifold, cylinder heads, and valve covers. Work carried out in 2020 consisted of rebuilding the carburetor, tuning the engine, and replacing the thermostat, valley pan gasket, throttle cable bushing, POA suction valve, and fluids. The hood pad and stickers were also replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a W-27 finned differential cover.

The General Motors of Canada document lists delivery to Automobiles Regate Ltd. of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Québec, along with the factory colors and equipment.
